Many people are of the opinion that hunting for a job is really easy. When asked why so many people are unemployed, they say that unemployed people are either lazy or they are unprepared to fend for a job. However, this is really not so.
There is a different reason why so many people are sitting unemployed. The reason behind it is that there is a crisis of jobs in the job market. Even local jobs are hard to find. It is quite easy to comment on the situation from outside and blame others as incompetent. However, the real pulse of the market can be felt when you yourself step into it and start hunting for jobs. You will feel the competition that exists in the market and how tight the situation is.
In order to find a job, you must leave no stone unturned. Use all your resources to the fullest. If you think that having a good academic record will take care of everything, you are wrong. You have to take care of all the details (even the small ones) in order to impress recruiters.
Hunting for jobs:
You must carry on a detailed search regarding the availability of jobs. While searching for jobs, look up in all the places. The internet is an excellent tool in this regard. You can find a list of plenty of jobs on the net. Look in the newspaper classified section. They have some good information about various openings at many places. Try to establish good networking amongst the people. Connect with professionals. They will be able to tell you regarding any opening that has come up. The social networking sites are also good platforms for job hunting. Register yourself in face book, and other sites to grab a job. They are excellent tools for networking too.
Applying for jobs:
When you apply for a job, make sure that your CV is updated. You must prepare it in an organized manner. There are certain things that must be mentioned specifically. For example, you must write the dates of your previous employment etc. if there are any gaps in your employment, mention the reason why you took the break. The recruiters will be interested in the details. And remember, honesty is the best policy.
The types of jobs available, and the choice you must make:
There are several types of jobs available in the market. However, you must choose the field of your profession. In this matter, you must exercise your discretion. There are lots of things that come into play when you grab an employment opportunity. It is a common belief that a person who does not have academic qualifications beyond class 12 cannot work anywhere other than a call centre. However, this is not true. Many of us have acquired several skills which help us getting jobs. You must convince the employer that you can do it. If your employer sees it in you, you have hit the bird in the eye!

Comment and thumbs up -_- Thanks everyone !! If you’ve ever seen Steve Jobs wow the faithful at an Apple gathering, you’ll get a kick out of watching Apple’s CEO dazzle the members of Cupertino’s City Council during a presentation to the local pols on Tuesday evening. Jobs dropped by to explain Apple’s plans to construct a new headquarters building on land that it bought from Hewlett-Packard. He said that Apple has outgrown its current campus and now has to rent nearby buildings to house more than 9000 employees. “Apple is growing like a weed,” Jobs said. “It’s clear we need to build a new campus.” Picking up a clicker, Jobs then breezed through a brief slide presentation as he explained the details of the proposed Apple campus, which he likened to “a spaceship.” The crowd also got a bonus in the form of a glimpse at Jobs’ negotiation skills. When councilwoman Kris Wang asked how city residents would benefit from the building of a new Apple campus, Jobs brought out the velvet hammer. “Well, as you know, we’re the largest taxpayer in Cupertino so we’d like to continue to stay here and pay taxes. That’s number one….because if we can’t, then we have to go somewhere like Mountain View and we take our current people with us. we give up and over years and sell the land here and the largest tax base would go away and that wouldn’t be good for Cupertino and it wouldn’t be good for us either.”
