Do all jobs for teaching english abroad begin in the fall?

Question by hornmaster426: Do all jobs for teaching english abroad begin in the fall?
I would like to apply for a job teaching English abroad in the near future, only this fall is a little too near. Spring would be an ideal time, but it seems like they’re all only available in the fall to coincide with the school year. Does anyone know if there are any positions available in the spring? Am I better off just to apply now?

Would teaching English overseas be better than doing a semester abroad?

Question by Kristina: Would teaching English overseas be better than doing a semester abroad?
I want to travel but I don’t know which is better: doing a semester abroad in another university or teaching English overseas. The pros of the university are that you have more exposure to the language. The cons are that it costs money. The pros of teaching English is that you get paid for it but the con is that you don’t have that much ready exposure.
(For frame of reference I want to teach/study in Korea where most individuals know passable English and would rather speak English to you than their native tongue).
Speaking from experience, which was/is more fulfilling?
